The Mamba Mentality
The ultimate Mantra to make yourself better every day by "The Black Mamba" - Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant (The Legendary Basketballer) coined the term “Mamba mentality” to describe the level of intense focus and relentless approach he took both in preparation and competition.
The term which started just as a hashtag by Bryant, later became the killer mindset that was embraced by everyone.
“Mamba mentality is all about focusing on the process and trusting in the hard work when it matters most.” - Bryant
Simply stated, it just means trying to get better every day at whatever you want.
The Mamba Mentality is all about the obsession for what YOU want. It is about prioritizing your goals over having a normal, balanced life.
It is about doing whatever you want without fear, mastering yourself & wanting not only to win but to dominate.
“Hard work outweighs talent — every time, Mamba mentality is about 4 a.m. workouts, doing more than the next guy and then trusting in the work you’ve put in when it’s time to perform. Without studying, preparation and practice, you’re leaving the outcome to fate. I don’t do fate.” - The Black Mamba.
Bryant gave himself the nickname "The Black Mamba" after watching a movie where the mamba snake referred to deadly assassins.
How can we have the killer mentality like The Black Mamba?
Simply start by thinking about where you could apply it in your life.
Find out the things you’re good at & can master them by putting in the effort.
Ask yourself “Am I putting in the effort necessary to achieve mastery in that skill?”
Are you letting the fear of failure inhibit your pursuit of success?
And there you go!
We all are talented at something but always remember one thing, “Hardwork beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard!”
This is our tribute to the legend, wishing Kobe was alive with us today.
