The only way to achieve eternal happiness is by holding yourself accountable for the choices you make in life. It frees you from any factors outside of your control.
The concept of the Accountability Mirror is given by David Goggins, who is referred to as the “Toughest Man Alive”.
When Goggins stood in front of that mirror, he called himself out. He looked at his reflection and said, “You’re fat, you’re lazy, and you’re a liar. What are you going to do about it?”
When accounting your own self -> Being truthful & accepting yourself for what you are is of utmost importance.
You might try to change yourself & pretend as someone else just to fit in a circle, but you won’t be able to that in front of a mirror. At that point, you can’t lie to yourself and you will have to be real to yourself.
If you don’t like yourself for what you are, how can you expect someone else to like you!
Improvement starts from within & what could be better than looking at yourself in the mirror and recalling out things you felt were wrong & focussing on improving them.
The lesson here is the value of being real with your own self & love yourself for who you are, rather than pretending & becoming what others want you to be.
Stop lying to yourself & live the best life you possibly can.
Just be real & accountable to yourself!
